Application of Gantry Welding Machines in Fencing and Safety Nets

2025-03-17

Recently, Jin Chun received an inquiry from a customer who needed to produce three mesh panels for fencing and safety nets, with dimensions of 19002400mm, 28002400mm, and 1500*2000mm. The customer asked if there was a machine that could automate the entire process from raw material handling to welding and final product placement.

As a company with 25 years of expertise in automated wire machinery, Jin Chun is committed to providing customers with the most cost-effective and high-quality automation solutions. Therefore, we immediately recommended our latest innovation—the 10-cylinder gantry welding machine.

Let’s take a closer look at how this automated welding machine meets the customer’s requirements.

1. Automatic Raw Material Handling

To address the customer’s needs, we equipped the welding machine with an automatic gripping device at the front end. Raw materials are fed into the fixed position of the mold via an automatic wire-shaking machine. The gripper then picks up the mold filled with raw materials and places it onto the gantry welding platform.

2. Mold Transport and Precision Welding

The gantry welding machine is designed with a reciprocating automatic welding system, allowing two welding molds to operate alternately on the same machine, enabling 24/7 continuous production. The number of welding points is configured based on the customer’s product structure. In this case, the customer’s product required 10 structural points, so we configured 10 welding points. Additionally, the customer demanded high-quality welds with no need for post-weld finishing. To meet this requirement, we integrated a medium-frequency welder, which is currently the most advanced welding technology. It produces flawless welds with virtually no visible marks.

3. Automatic Finished Product Handling

Once the welding of a mesh panel on a mold is completed, the automatic gripper picks up the finished product and stacks it at a designated placement area.

Through these three steps, the customer’s requirements for automated welding of fencing and safety nets were fully met.
